Is there wireless internet in New Zealand?

Yes! There are now lots of wireless hotspots in the cafes and information centres in towns. All starbucks have internet access and some other cafes give you free internet access when you buy something. Telcom NZ offer a prepaid system across NZ. You can find access points by clicking here.

Some hostel also now have wireless internet access and the majority of internet cafes will let you plug your laptop in.
